Kereta Misteri: A Truly Haunted Coaster?

On December 21, 2019, Dunia Fantasi officially launched Kereta Misteri ride (Haunted coaster) and after 34 years, Dufan finally has his first intamin rides. but there are some things that we have to say about this rides, so let's get straight to the point.

Storyline

This ride tells about us as ghost hunters who enter an old mansion in the middle of the wilderness. However, we are trapped in the house and unexpectedly the house is inhabited by wolves and werewolves where the human named Sebastian was attacked by wolves. After that, we were demanded to find a way out of the house and suddenly came a car that would save us from the terror then the car walked down the house because the house was very spacious. soon the wolves started chasing us and the car started pumping its gas into the forest until we finally survived the chase.

the front facade of the building has an american mansion theme with wooden planks accents that add to its american feel and also this vehicle is located in the american area so it's not wrong if the style of the building is like that. 

Queue line

However, it's the opposite when we enter the building which has entered the queue room. only dark and decorations such as scary photos, statues dressed in American-style animal hunter costumes and some decorations that we think are very disappointing considering the budget for this vehicle is quite large. even inside the station does not have a theme in the interior, not in the sense of not at all but very less supportive of the storyline, even though we think it is a good story that we want to convey but it is not conveyed properly. 

Ride station

Is that enough? Of course not, in the rides it's also not at all binding, the story goes through simple, dark scenes and doesn't know where the train is going until the ride is finished. 

But what about the experience?

Ride Experience

The memorable experience is the coaster, luckily the coaster is quite good with a layout of 600m long, 15m high and a speed of almost 62km per hour which is enough for the class of Intamin family launch coaster. the train will go through several scenes and will go uphill after that the train starts to accelerate until it finally stops at the werewolf scene for a moment and the train starts to retreat immediately down and up again to stop for a moment, in that scene only the sound of dogs barking and soon the train went forward and then At the climax of this ride, at the start of the train, the train will turn to form 2 figures in the form of a figure 8 and arrive at the final brake and head back to the station. quite fun too but unfortunately with a less supportive theme.

Conclusion

Is it worth a try? it's good if you just enjoy the coaster, but if you are a true dark ride connoisseur, maybe you can only shake your head because of the lack of building interior design and decorations that support this ride. Behind that, all of these rides are fun but the execution is not yet done, we think it would be better if it was just an outdoor coaster with a more effective concept, having a stunning onboard audio maybe this ride would be even better. It's a shame that Dufan bought a coaster made by Intamin but the end result was quite disappointing. maybe this is the discussion and keep the spirit, stay alive - Theme Park ID Admin
