Dunia Fantasi Circa 1985

Maybe you don't know about this Theme Park, Dunia Fantasi is the first Theme Park in Indonesia which opened on August 29, 1985 and is located in Taman Impian Jaya Ancol, Jakarta.

Basically, the idea of building a fantasy world began with the first president, Ir. Soekarno, who wanted to build a recreation center located north of Jakarta or the Jakarta beach known as Ancol and then a recreation center was built with the name Taman Impian Jaya Ancol, in collaboration with the Jaya Group as a contractor. This project was also in the hands of the late. Ciputra who wanted to present Disneyland in Indonesia but the offer was rejected by Disney but without thinking Ciputra who was the main director of Jaya Ancol at that time immediately formed a Dunia Fantasi workshop or Bendufa as the project team the construction of a Dunia Fantasy and development began in 1983 and was completed in 1985. At the time of the grand opening, all of Indonesia was excited about the presence of this recreation area that was similar to Disneyland but was done in house not only that at that time the Dunia Fantasi had 2 rides the mainstay of the monkey ballad (Animatronic Theater) and Puppet Palace (It's A Small World Knock off but with different content).
